For the issue i brought up before. It seems many people didn't understand. This was about not just wasting college players eligibility.
Ben drafted a college player as his last pick to fill his roster. He then picks players in rounds after dropping his last pick each time. So for the players he drafted and dropped immediately ( 0/4 contracts ) during the draft to pick more college guys to drop and have on his release list. this is wasting some college players eligibility for no reason.
so lets hear some other ideas
Just simply removing that player from the released list and not having that contract count was one of my ideas. Yes they were already eligible to be drafted again but the contract could lose a year or 2 for no reason before they are drafted to actually be on someone's roster.

Understood just didn't think it was a big deal. How many players did he do that for?

he only did it twice. I just have known him for a long time and this will continue is why I brought this up.

Moves like that accomplish nothing but drag out the draft. Every year we seem to be pressed for time, and this churning is just a time-waster.
I would outlaw it just for that reason.

2 picks he did it for. I did same about 6 or 7 years ago. Picked a WR bc I read he would play right away. Guy got released so I released him and promoted a player and then picked another guy. Don't see the problem. My vote is to leave it alone. Don't mind rookie draft going into the season. We made match pick lost picks valid for the next season. Thought that mostly solved any problems. Start earlier if that's a problem for others. I like as much info on a player as possible before picking a player.

I’d rather aim for fairness, not maximum advantage. Owners drafting rookies after the season starts have an advantage over those who get their picks done quickly.

As long as we all play by same rules ok with whatever it is. Could start much earlier and be done before bids are due. Could allow 1 demotion per prospect too. I like the extra info in both leagues before picking prospects but do it before bids if you want.

The difference being that there was a change in the player so you dropped him. I have known him for over a decade. He hasn't said anything on this because i think he was looking for an advantage with what he was doing. That is the part others don't really understand about this situation. I know the person and he is always looking for an advantage or a way to use the rules to his advantage. Which he didn't break any but looking to sew up a loophole before its used repeatedly. He was just removed from a league for trying to skirt the rules.

In conclusion this will be what happens. If someone drops a player in the draft they will not go to the released list, that pick will be erased on the draft board and as always will be available to be drafted.

The conclusion should be decided by all of us. I have been accused of the same in many leagues for "skirting" the rules. Don't have a problem with what he did. Any of us could have picked up the released prospect so what was his advantage?
