There were no waiver claims put in, so any player that is under contract on a released list can be picked up on their current contract. If you pick up a player on a minor league contract, they must be added to your active roster. You can't add them directly to your minor's roster.

Is that a new rule? Definitely added released minors guys to my minors roster in the past.

That hasn’t been common practice in this league before.
Defeats the purpose of having an option if a player can’t be demoted.

The GM league has an explicit rule that says "A reminder that minor league players can not be added directly to your minor league roster as they must first be added to your major league roster." I thought this one used the same approach, but I guess not.

I think Dean used it for a couple years and then didnt use it towards the end.
