The majority vote was for Saves + Holds to replace Saves before the year 2021. Therefore, this is the final vote to determine which season this takes place. Also, we need to discuss the status of the contracts for those players that will be affected by the category change.
At this point, I think the easiest, most fair, and best way is to allow the manager of the players affected to void any contracts of the players listed below. I know in the past at least one person has voiced their opinion in opposition to that, but I don't see any way around voids being the only way to handle this. I will set the date for the voiding of contracts to be the final day of the league season prior to the season the category change is enacted. Therefore, if 2019 wins, early November of this season will be when voiding decisions need to be made. If 2020 wins, early November of 2019 will be when voiding decisions need to be made. I will send reminders to the owners involved at that time.
As usual, this is open for discussion. Any and all thoughts are open for consideration. As of now, the voting is based upon contracts being allowed to be voided. If the league discusses and decides on a different course of action for the contracts of those players, we will re-vote.
Enactment 2019: Reed, Ramos, Herrera, Roberston, Miller, Storen, Chapman, Rondon
2020: Reed, Herrera, Robertson, Storen
Like the last poll, I added a "Doesn't matter to me" option for those that don't feel strongly one way or the other.

I agree that voiding the old contracts is probably the fairest way.
It also seems fair that no 2018 contracts will be voided. That is, I can’t bid a 5-year contract on a closer this year expecting that it will be cancelled in 2019 or 2020.

Only the players listed on the year that wins will be the players that will have the possibility of having their contract voided.

I would be against complete voids. Especially if an owner can void more than one. It’s look like 2020 is going to win and the only bad contract at that point will be Herrera. I would be in favor of the owner having the option to halve EITHER years OR salary

I would be in favor of the owner having the option to halve EITHER years OR salary I understand your concern. It would be completely different if the owners knew of the category change prior to bidding on those players. My issues with the option(s) you're suggesting are that (A) no owners knew that the category change was coming when they were bidding on the players at those salaries, so why should they be penalized for the remainder of the contract?, and (B) halving contracts may give an advantage to those owners. This is the reason I'm currently in favor of all-or-nothing, unless something else can be suggested and agreed upon.

A majority of the league voted to enact the Saves + Holds category for the 2020 season. I have updated the league rules to reflect this.
