The category change from Saves to (Saves + Holds) has passed by a vote of 10-2.
There are currently players who were under contract prior to this season that will be affected by the category change if it takes place in 2019 or 2020. With that it mind, we also need to determine what season the category change will take effect, so that people can plan their bidding accordingly.
If "prior to 2021" passes, we will need one more vote to determine if it will be 2019 or 2020, and also need to discuss what will happen with the contracts of only those players that will be affected by the category change. When discussing this last season, I detailed all of the players that could possibly be affected by the category change. I will find that post, and re-post below.
If "in year 2021" passes, then no discussion of contracts is necessary, and we'll just change the category three years from now.
I also added a "doesn't matter to me" option for those that don't want to worry about when the category change takes effect.

I copied your original post and aged the contracts a year to make them current: H4B - Reed 4/3, Ramos 5/2, Herrera 4/4, Capps 1/4 Panthers - Bedrosian 1/2 4th St - Robertson 5/3 Soultakers - Miller 3/2, Storen 2/3 Cobesters - Chapman 10/2, Rondon 2/2 Read more: danandsams.freeforums.net/thread/2206/baseball-rules-issues-2018#ixzz583srgaQvI'm going to assume that a $1 player isn't of concern for the rule change. Current contracted players adversely affected by rule change: Enactment 2019: Reed, Ramos, Herrera, Roberston, Miller, Storen, Chapman, Rodon 2020: Reed, Herrera, Robertson, Storen 2021: Herrera only

Funny that you mention that about the $1 players, as I was thinking the same thing the other day. I agree, $1 players should not be included in this discussion.
Thanks for digging that up for me.
