I've mentioned this in the past. I really don't care if it happens in four years (until all current contracts run out), but I think that the saves category should eventually be replaced by Saves + Holds (still one category). I've detailed my reasoning before...mainly because if you lose a closer, you can still replace them with a decent holds guy to be able to compete. Plus, it makes the best setup men in the game more valuable than bad closers, which they should be (as in real life).
Once we vote on whether or not it should be replaced, if the answer is no, the discussion ends. If the answer is yes, we can then have another vote on what year that takes place (the category change will not take place this season), and also discuss the possibility of allowing contracts of closers signed prior to the 2017 season to be altered somehow or voided (if the category change is voted to take place sooner than all current contracts expire).
Please keep in mind that if you're hesitant to vote for the category change because you have closers currently contracted, we will make sure you're fairly compensated somehow...whether it be voiding or reduction of contracts, or the category change not to take place until four years from now...something like that.

By a vote of 10-2, this has passed.
