Sign my 2nd place bid on McLaurin. Isn’t he a mandatory signing for Mongrels?

Pass on Geno, Russ, Carr and Goedert. Sign Warren (he needs to come off Tim’s released list) and Goff.

Sign my 2nd place bid on McLaurin. Isn’t he a mandatory signing for Mongrels? You're right. Since Chase got matched that makes him a mandatory for the Mongrels. I just saw his post that he passed on McLaurin.

Seeking clarification on this as Chase and Johnson were identified as my must signs. I am looking for the rules that say I then need to go to my next bid as a must sign if there is a match. I see that others won bids and other managers declined to match and then the winning manager declined to sign. Please clarify.

Only if the bids were tied. What did you bid?

The bids were not tied. I beat Sol in the bidding for Chase and then he matched per his rights. Chase and Johnson were my 2 must signs identified by Jeremy and I intended to sign both.

If Chase didn’t get matched, he would have been one of your mandatory signings. Since he did get matched, he’s no longer a winning bid and your next winning bid (McLaurin) becomes mandatory.

Question...do I get the option of matching Pittman and Pitts via loyalty? Loyalty only comes into play as a tie breaker if the money and length of contract are the same. You can Match players with expiring Rookie contracts but have to indicate that in your bids. "You must include the word "match" next to any player on your bid list that you may want to exercise a match option on."

Yeah, I think because the wording of "successful" backs this up. "Everyone must sign his top two successful bids."

I think everything is updated, but please double check your bids, rosters, etc (Number of open roster spots may not be updated on everyone, but I'll double check that tonight)
Here is what is left (I think!)
Here 4 Beer - 2nd place bid on K. Allen
Rawls - 2nd place bid on J. Goff
Cobesters - 2nd place bid on G. Smith
Mongrels - 2nd place bid on G. Pickens
Saints - 3rd place bid on R. Wilson
Simply - 2nd place bid on G. Kittle
Then most 2nd place bids that are passed on have 3rd place bids

Yeah, Rawls signed Goff, I forgot to update it on the board.
Cobesters has the 2nd place bid on G. Smith, Here 4 Beer has the 3rd place bid if Cobesters passes on him
