I see no problem with letting him jump back in since this has been done in the past in this league. I think the other league, where this is usually strictly enforced, made an exception here for one of the new members who let his time expire.
The idea is to keep the draft moving and try to finish before the season begins. Unlike the prospect draft in football, some of the players who are eligible for this draft will end up on major league rosters.

If anyone objects. Let me know.
But around posts 11-14 Bob went over his limit and the pick was made. And around picks 41-43 or so, the same thing was going on.
Sorry, but life gets in the way of this draft sometimes and I did make it known to mikehulse (since he's helping out with maintaining this league and this ProBoards forum) as I sent a PM to him letting him know I'd be out of town for the weekend and in cell and internet void for a good part of it.
Also, I don't see the rule stating a 24 hour period, though I know we'd be going under that assumption:
13.....We will have a 12 man minor league roster and the initial draft order will be determined by the reverse order of this years FA draft. Successive seasons will be determined by reverse order of standings from previous season. Draftees will be assigned a contract of 0/4/1 (no money, four years, one option). You may pass at any point during this draft but that will remove you from the remainder of the minor league draft.......Reverse Order Of Finish now in effect as of 02/13/12
Just so we don't see these issues continue in the future, can we update the rules with any items that come up for discussion during the drafts and/or 1st/2nd round bidding?
Sorry for causing all the confusion.....

I have no issue letting someone draft after their time has expired, we want the draft to keep moving so this does not take forever and a late pick takes no more time beyond the 24 hour draft period. I still need to make two more picks and would like to have them done before Sunday nights first pitch ( even if they are only minor league players) but at the current rate that does not look promising. I am up in two picks ( I think) but am about to head out the door and will not be back to around midnight so hopefully my pick will not take long since I check in multiple times a day!

After the season starts we can hash out the rules and address anything that needs to be changed. If anyone has any ideas you can PM Mike or myself or post them in the league discussions....

To me, the fairest thing is that if someone misses their 24-hour window, they should be allowed to come back after-the-fact and fill that slot with a player from the remaining pool. That way, the only players he misses out on are the ones that were selected by other owners in their rightful turn after the tardy owner skipped inadvertently. It keeps the draft moving, but doesn't harshly punish someone who was out of touch for an extended period. Just my two cents...

Really this is nothing new, it is a continuation of the policy Thomas established and what we used last 2 years.

OK, since I did NOT pass, but was passed over while out of town, Please give me SS Alen Hanson, PIT. Please make sure I'm put back in the 4th round draft too. I've still got 2 spots open. Since Swervedriver indicated he was done with ML draft, Bo Knows would be next up.... **DONE** Do we really need to beat this to death and delay things further? Everyone who has posted says to god ahead and let him make a catch up pick which it looks like he has already done. Why can't we just move forward and finish this draft with Bo Knows making the next pick? (Bob, your eyes aren't playing tricks with you - I stuck that **DONE** in your quoted message...Mike)

The Whales select P Brandon Maurer from Seattle. The Whales still have one spot open ( JJ Hoover was dropped still appears on roster) and will still be active for one more round.

Was hoping Smyly would get a starting job and I could promote him but alas it was not to be. 12 on the minor league roster, keeping them and done.

Gary - the Voodoo Kings still have one minor league slot open, and they're the pick right before you. Also, did you see the PM I sent you about Feliz and Ackley?
Noted Scott's pass for the rest of this draft. Thanx.
